Mali Morris is one of the founder Artist-members of APT. She was born in North Wales and studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (BA) and the University of Reading (MFA). She has shown extensively since her first solo shows at the Serpentine Summer Show in 1977, and the Ikon Gallery in1979, more recently in Tokyo in 2000, 2004, 2005, and New York in 2005 and 2007. A touring exhibition was organized by Angel Row Gallery Nottingham in 2002-3. Mali Morris: Work From Four Decades, and Mali Morris: Recent Work took place at Poussin Gallery, London, in 2005 and 2008 respectively. Her exhibition of small works on canvas and paper was at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, Dec 2010, traveling to The Cut Gallery, Halesworth, in May/June 2011.

Her work is in private, corporate and public collections worldwide, including Arts Council England, British Council, Contemporary Art Society, National Museum of Wales Cardiff, and Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester. She is the recipient of numerous awards, scholarships and residencies, and has taught and examined in many Departments of Fine Art, including the University of Reading, Royal College of Art, Slade School of Art, and Chelsea College of Art and Design, where she was a Senior Lecturer 0.5 from 1991 - 2005.

Mali Morris was Chair of the selection panel of Jerwood Contemporary Painters in 2009, and in March 2010 was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts.
