Open Studios and APT NOW

Having waited 3 years for the return of Open Studios, we were delighted to welcome over 1050 visitors through our doors across the weekend of the 17th and 18th of September.

We had a great opportunity to partner with 3 major London events: Open House Festival, Deptford X, and Totally Thames, which encouraged a wonderful exchange of visitors across the weekend as we welcomed faces old and new. Working with these partners allowed us to continue celebrating Lewisham as the London Borough of Culture 2022.

38 Artist Members opened their studios to the general public, allowing a unique glimpse into their practice and approach whilst also providing a space for guest artists to display their work.

Coinciding with our Annual group show, APT NOW, featuring the work of 42 artists, the weekend enabled us to showcase the diversity and quality of practice here at APT.

APT NOW was curated by APT Artist Member Paul Tonkin. Watch the video below by Margaret Higginson to find out more about his approach to curating and hanging the group show.
